Common questions
Money, Quotes and the $65 Off
What does "from $89" actually include?
From $89 covers a straightforward blocked drain, no rodding or CCTV needed, just clearing the clog. We settle on a fixed number before anything begins, and that's what you pay. Anything more involved gets its own upfront quote.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. We look at the blockage, explain what's causing it, and give you a fixed price before we touch a tool. There's no call-out fee, and hearing the price doesn't commit you to booking anything.
What discounts do you offer?
New customers get $65 off their first service, a jet blast comes with a free CCTV inspection, a job over $200 unlocks a free plumbing check, and any completed paid job earns a garden tap on the house, plus 20% off for seniors. They all stack.
Do prices change once you start?
No, that's the point of fixed pricing. The price we agree upfront stays the same even when a job runs over on time. There's no surprise line item once the tools are out.
Common questions
Licensed, Insured and Done Properly
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
Something as simple as a plunger, or hot water straight down the plughole, will often shift an everyday clog in the sink or shower. Once you're looking at a sewer line running slow, or a blockage that keeps coming back, that's drainage work under NSW regulations, and it needs a licensed plumber.
Do wipes really block drains?
Yes, and the "flushable" label doesn't mean it breaks down. Toilet paper dissolves in water, but these wipes hold their shape and snag wherever a pipe joint isn't smooth. That build-up turns into a clog, so it's best not to flush them at all.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW plumbing licence #465156C covers the work, both our plumbers and our gas fitters hold current licences, and every job carries insurance. Ask for the licence number over the phone if you'd like to check it yourself.
What standards does drainage work follow?
Drainage and plumbing work in NSW follows the AS/NZS 3500 plumbing standards, which set the rules for pipe sizing, venting and everything in between. Get it right today and the next plumber down the track won't inherit a problem.
Common questions
How Fast We Get to You
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes, this line doesn't go quiet after hours. Whoever's on shift answers themselves, no recorded messages and no call handled offshore, so ring whenever the drain's playing up.
How fast can you get here?
Usually the same day. Once you call, we work out the best time to come, often within a few hours if it's urgent, and we'll always be upfront if that's not possible.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes, including weekends and public holidays, we're on call every day. A blocked drain doesn't wait for a weekday, so neither do we.
How do I book?
Call (02) 9139 9982 and we'll get you sorted, usually same-day. Happy for us to call you instead? Fill in the callback form on this site and we'll ring to arrange a time.
Common questions
Local to Penrith
Do you handle strata and units?
Yes. Penrith has a growing mix of units and townhouses around the CBD and rail corridor alongside its older detached streets, and shared drain lines need the same careful diagnosis either way. Owners, tenants, strata managers, whoever's calling, we sort access and get the job done.
What suburbs do you service?
We cover Penrith and the surrounding area, including Kingswood, Jamisontown, South Penrith, Emu Plains, Cranebrook and Glenmore Park. If you're nearby and unsure, just call and ask.
Do tree roots cause many blockages around Penrith?
Yes, tree roots cause a good chunk of what we're called out for around here. Established trees on older detached blocks, including those near riverside spots like Tench Reserve, send roots chasing moisture into clay drain joints worn down by age, and the blockage keeps returning until the joint itself is fixed.
Can you handle new builds and renovations here?
Yes. Alongside the post-war brick homes on many Penrith streets, there's plenty of newer building going on too, and drainage work varies from an older clay line to a newer PVC run. We adjust our approach either way.
